Today Spanky the Mighty begins his reign in the celestial realm where the birth and death of the universe itself vacillates back and forth in a neverending cycle of destruction and creation. Here on Earth, His Highness ruled supremely with a gentle paw and a powerful roar for just three months shy of 20 years.
He is, in true Elliot style, a cat of many names:
But more than that, he is my best best best friend in the world. My protector, my guide, my baby boy, my knight in black satin, my one true Romeo –
When he shall die,
Take him and cut him out in little stars,
And he will make the face of heaven so fine
That all the world will be in love with night
And pay no worship to the garish sun.
He is stardust, billion-year-old carbon. You might mistake that glowing, green orb for Uranus – it’s really Spanky’s verdelite eyes sparkling in the warm embrace of the darkness, his luscious, soft, black fur now one with the fabric of spacetime.
I love you, I love you, I love you, you beautiful, beautiful boy. Spanky per sempre!!
Rest in peace

We saw Rachel and Vilray perform on The Late Show last night. I like her lyrics. I found more to listen to on Amazon Music today. Fun songs, but I began to find her voice annoying. (That’s just me. I cannot criticize Rachel Price.) I wanted to hear your voice. I searched Amazon Music for Gia Mora and found A Capella Science. How delightful! And I easily recognized your voice in the ensemble. What great performances by you all! And I especially enjoy your solo voice, every syllable. Now, I want to find lyrics to read along with A Capella Science. In my old age I cannot always listen as fast as you guys sing.
So glad you found A Cappella Science. Tim is so talented and wonderful! If you watch it on YouTube, the lyrics (which are definitely worth the read) are displayed with the video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gai8dMA19Sw
Happy 2023! Wishing you the best always. 🙂
