By Kevin Dewitt Jones for the summer line of Green & Blue
Written by Moliere
Directed by Keith Baxter
Choreographed by Gillian Lynne
It was a delight to serve as Gillian Lynne's dance captain and Rene Auberjonois's daughter in this rarely seen production, complete with the original opera, dance, and commedia dell'arte interludes that Louis XIV enjoyed during his reign as the Sun King. The show drew sold out crowds to Shakespeare Theatre Company's Landsburgh stage during summer 2008.

“Gifted cast... Mora and Roach have fun with the impromptu, subtext-heavy opera.”--Washington Post
"I can’t say enough about the marvelous Gia Mora who sings and dances and possesses Lucille Ball-like comic timing.”--DC Theatre Scene
