A jane of many trades, Gia Mora works as an actor, vocalist, and model across the United States. She is a three-time Helen Hayes nominee (Ensemble for Cool Papa's Party at MetroStage (choreo. Maurice Hines), Ensemble for She Stoops to Comedy at Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, and Supporting Actress for A Prayer for Owen Meany at Round House Theatre), and other recent performances include Sunset Boulevard (Signature Theatre), Ellie in the world premiere musical Glimpses of the Moon (dir./choreo. David Marquez at MetroStage), Lenora in God's Ear (Rep Stage), and Angelique in The Imaginary Invalid (Shakespeare Theatre Company, dir. Keith Baxter, dance captain for Gillian Lynne, starring with Rene Auberjonois).

In addition to acting, Miz Mora headlines as a vocalist at venues including Blues Alley, Lannie’s Clocktower Cabaret, 49 West, Germano's Trattoria, and Bethesda Theatre. In 2008 she had the honor of singing at a command performance at the White House for the Bush family. Miz Mora is a proud third generation jazz musician and began singing on her father's gigs at age 3. She released her first CD, Something Borrowed, Something Blue, featuring Unified Jazz Ensemble, in December 2009. Her current show, Laugh it Up, Funny Girl, features composer/pianist Charlie Barnett.

On camera, she appeared in the FOX Television pilot, Saving Corporate America, garnered a Best Acting Award from the DC 48-Hour Film Project for her work in Integral Arts' Mementos, and with writer/director Barry Gribble, she has her own YouTube series, Shrinkage. Her latest film, Woman’s Picture, written and directed by Brian Pera, will debut in 2011. She can be seen in commercials and industrials throughout the nation as well as in print advertisements for Volkswagon and designers Mariam Heydari and Daniela Cermanova.

Miz Mora graduated summa cum laude and with honors in Screenwriting/Playwriting from the University of Colorado. She splits her time between Washington, DC, and Los Angeles.
